A Good Population Resource

If you click on the image above, you will link to a 'free download page' of Interact Worldwide (nothing to do with Rotary!). This organisation works towards improving sexual and reproductive health mainly in LEDCs. Their work is clearly linked to population growth issues.

They have produced an excellent resource called the Population Jigsaw which you can download to your own computers. You might care to look particularly at the sections on Population Trends, Ageing, Population Policies and at one or two of the case study countries which include Brazil, China, India, Iran, Kenya, Philippines.

It is worth stating at this stage in the year that the students who will ultimately do well in Higher Geography are those who have taken the chance to do some extra reading. Most will stay the course, many will read the textbook but few will go the 'extra mile'. Those who do will reap their rewards!
