I hope you are all by now familiar with the excellent BBC Scotland website on upland limestone (see posting for October 1st if you are not!). Just before Christmas, the latest interactive resource for Higher and Intermediate Geography was launched. This time it supports the coasts section of the Lithosphere unit. Click on the image above to link to it.Although it takes at the coast line of north and east Scotland as its case study area, the explanations of processes and features would apply to virtually any stretch of coast. When you open up the web page, select the enhanced site (which has more interactive features) and then choose 'Physical Environment'. From here you will be able to explore a number of pages which look at marine erosion processes and features of coastlines of ersion, deposition and sea level change.
It is all very good material and will greatly enhance what we are studying in class.
