The thermal equator and the ITCZ also move north, allowing humid mT air from the Atlantic Ocean to move in over West Africa bringinging rain to areas which have experienced a long dry season. This satellite pic, for example, shows prominent convection clouds in the north of Nigeria and some storm clouds even penetrating further north into Niger. ITCZ in June
I doubt if many of this year's Higher candidates will still be interested in tracking the progress of the ITCZ!
