
In the UK, the length of the growing season is largely determined by temperature. However, as you can see from the map, we actually have a longer growing season than many areas which are closer to the equator. Temperature, therefore is not the only factor which will influence the number of days in a year during which crops can be grown.
Look at the map above and try to work out what the other factors might be! Then you might consider SE Asia and Australasia (for which no data is available on the map).
