Malaria - the latest buzz!

You'll be hearing a lot about malaria from Mrs W in a month or two when you study it as a disease case study in the Development and Health section of the course. You will spend some time looking at the environmental factors which explain its distribution and assessing the range of methods which are employed to combat the spread of the disease. The BBC website (click on the mozzy above !) has reported this week on one of the latest strategies for controlling the vector of the disease - the anopheles mosquito.

It's never too early to start building up detailed info for your case studies - why not make a few notes on this one and file them in the D and H section in your folders?
